On Saturday Charlie and Donald Kaufman (snicker) were runners-up in the Best Screeenplay category of the LA Film Critics' Awards, thanks to a little script known as Adaptation. (About Schmidt was the winner, I ask you.) Chris Cooper took out Best Supporting Actor. It's looking like he'll be getting a few trophies over the coming months. More info on the awards here.

robix reports that Video ETA estimate Adaptation will be released on DVD/video around May next year. I'd say that's just an educated guess, given that the film's only been on the big-screen about five minutes.

Saw a print ad for Adaptation in an Aussie magazine today, and the film's trailer on SBS again. This begs the question: why in the world am I watching SBS on a Sunday night?
