The internets are reporting today that Nic Cage and Jack Black are attached to Charlie's Frank or Francis project. That's the musical comedy about the film-maker, and the blogger who continually bashes his films. Also in talks? Steve Carell. Charlie K. will be directing it himself.

We know Cage has already worked with the Kauf. Carell and Kaufman both worked on The Dana Carvey Show in 1996, and Kaufman spent two weeks on a Kung Fu Panda 2 script polish, so technically he's worked with Black as well.

Apparently they're looking at a start in early 2012 for this one, which kind of overlaps with the "world leaders" film Spike Jonze will be directing from another Kaufman script. So who knows how this is all going to be juggled.

But more importantly: BCK NEEDS TO SEE THESE SCRIPTS, PEOPLE!! Especially Frank or Francis, for obvious reasons.
